UI/UX DESIGN

(GREAT EXPERIENCE - BY DESIGN)

THIS GUIDE WILL HELP YOU UNDERSTAND HOW I TACKLE DIFFERENT UI/UX DESIGN CHALLENGES - WHETHER YOU ARE ADDING A NEW FEATURE, A NEW PRODUCT, OR REDESIGNING AN EXISTING PRODUCT.

DESIGN PROCESS

Discovery

The first stage of the process. This step identifies the goal of your project or the problem that your product seeks to address. It studies the competitive landscape, your potential users, and determines the timeline of the project and required resources.

Strategy

Personas

Applications that are broad in functionality to accommodate most users, likely cause an increase in cognitive load and navigational overhead for all users. Personas allow me to design for specific types of users with specific needs.

Feature Set & Site Map

The Feature Set is all about organizing and grouping features into subsets, while the Site Map represents the flow of the features within the product. It ensures that all major components and their relationships have been identified.

Feature Prioritization

After identifying the features to be added or updated, I use a prioritization matrix to determine the order in which I will tackle these features.

Design Roadmapping

I break down phases into weekly sprints and weekly sprints into design tasks that are needed to complete each milestone in your project. The roadmap is designed to be a living document that will evolve to reflect updated priorities over time.

UI/UX Design

An iterative process that begins with low-fidelity designs and ends with a high-fidelity design, ready for development.

Wireframes & Flows

By creating schematic diagrams I am able to define key pages, page layouts and interactions. Wireframes help me to remove the bias of visual properties and allow me to focus on the user journey.

Visual Interface Design

I make use of visual properties such as color, typography, form and composition to produce a beautiful, easy-to-use and engaging Interface, while considering your brand's unique style.

Interaction Design

I consider how transitions, micro-interactions and animation design can improve the overall interaction and experience of your product.

Usability Testing

By engaging real users with usability testing I am able to gain insights on how well users can complete tasks, as well as what problems they encounter in doing so. Feedback will reveal areas where users have problems understanding and using the product and areas where users are likely to be successful.

Delivery & Hand-off

I provide all required hand-off assets using Figma.

Prototyping

Prototypes are close to the final product, they give a view of how the final product will look and function. You can use Prototypes to check if your goal is met.

Clickable Prototypes

I design and test prototypes in order to learn, iterate, and improve your product. By designing and testing high-fidelity prototypes I can identify new questions, pain points, or opportunities long before your product is launched
